Warranty And Repair Policy

Handbags, Small Leather Goods & Tech Accessories (Excluding Watches)

Variations in colour and texture are the prized characteristics of beautiful tanned leather. Over time, the leather will acquire a patina and may also darken due to the oils from your skin and direct sunlight, further enhancing the natural look of your handbag or small leather item. Please refer to our Product Care Guidelines for further information on caring for your handbag or small leather item.

Handbags, small leather goods and tech accessories purchased in Europe are protected from the original date of receipt by a two-year limited warranty (proof of purchase required).

If the handbag, small leather good or tech accessory proves not to be in conformity with the agreement within two years (or a longer period where required by applicable law) from the date of delivery, we will repair or replace the item free of charge with the same or (at the customer's option) a comparable product. If a non-conforming handbag, small leather good or tech accessory is replaced, the original item will not be returned to the customer.

If we are unable to replace or repair the product then you will have the right to return the product and terminate the agreement with a refund of the price paid.

This warranty is in addition to and does not affect your legal rights.

PROVISIONS FOR FRANCE ONLY

(Translated from French version)

Regarding the legal warranty of compliance, the consumer:

- Has a two-year period starting from the delivery of the goods in which to act

- Can choose between repair or replacement of the goods, subject to the conditions of cost set out in Article L. 211-9 of the French Consumer Code

- Is required to provide proof of lack of conformity of the goods in the six months following delivery of the goods. This period was extended to 24 months from March 18, 2016, except for second-hand goods.

The legal warranty of conformity applies independently of any commercial warranty that may be provided.

The consumer can decide to implement the warranty against latent defects of goods sold as set out in Article 1641 of the French Civil Code, in which case the consumer can choose between cancellation of the sale or a reduction in the sales price, in accordance with Article 1644 of the French Civil Code.

The retailer remains responsible for the legal warranty of conformity mentioned in Articles L. 211-4 to L. 211-13 of the French Consumer Code and the warranty relating to defects of goods sold set out in Articles 1641 to 1648 and 2232 of the French Civil Code.

Article L. 211-4, L. 211-5, L. 211-12 and L. 211-16 of the French Consumer Code:

L. 211-4: “The seller is required to deliver a product which conforms to the contract and is held liable for any lack of conformity which exists upon delivery. He is also held liable for any lack of conformity caused by the packaging or the assembly instructions, or the installation if he assumed responsibility therefor or had it carried out under his responsibility.

L. 211-5: “To conform to the contract, the product must:

1. Be suitable for the purpose usually associated with such a product and, if applicable:

- Correspond to the description given by the seller and have the features that the seller presented to the buyer in the form of a sample or model

- Have the features that a buyer might reasonably expect it to have considering the public statements made by the seller, the producer or his representative, including advertising and labelling

2. Or have the features defined by mutual agreement between the parties or be suitable for any special requirement of the buyer which was made known to the seller and which the latter agreed to.”

L. 211-12: “Action resulting from lack of conformity lapses two years after delivery of the product.

L. 211-16: When the buyer asks the seller to carry out repairs covered by his guarantee during the period of the commercial guarantee provided on purchase or repair of the product, the period of any resultant shutdown of seven days or longer shall be added to the unexpired term of the guarantee. The said period shall run from the time when the buyer requests assistance or the time when the product in question is taken out of service pending repair, should this be subsequent to the request for assistance.

Article 1641 and the first paragraph of Article 1648 of the French Civil Code:

1641: “A seller is bound to a warranty on account of the latent defects of the thing sold which render it unfit for the use for which it was intended, or which so impair that use that the buyer would not have acquired it, or would only have given a lesser price for it, had he known of them.

1648 paragraph 1: “The action resulting from redhibitory vices must be brought by the buyer within a period of two years following the discovery of the vice.”
